RE27N/D Variable-D announcers microphone
RE27N/D
MORE OUTPUT. SAME LEGEND.
A neodymium Variable-D dynamic with the headroom and detail of a studio condenser.
RE27N/D Variable-D announcers microphone, nickel
A neodymium Variable-D dynamic with the headroom and detail of a studio condenser.
Take the broadcast classic and turn it up. The RE27N/D builds a neodymium-alloy magnet into the Variable-D platform for up to 6 dB more output and condenser-grade detail, with a dynamic's low noise and immunity to overload. Variable-D kills the proximity bump as you work the mic, a hum-bucking coil rejects lighting hum, and three EQ switches shape bass and treble to the source. Voiceover, kick drum, brass, bass cab - it reaches from 45 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
Key features
Drive the chain harder
Neodymium magnet delivers up to 6 dB more output than a standard design.
Full-range capture
Extended response from 45 Hz to 20,000 Hz with condenser-like detail.
Work the mic freely
Continuously Variable-D removes the close-up bass boom.
Shape it at the mic
Three switches set two bass rolloffs and a treble-boost cut.
Quiet near the lights
Hum-bucking coil rejects magnetically induced hum and handles high SPL.
One mic, many sources
Moves from voiceover to kick drum, brass, and bass cab.
